All winning poems will be published in the anthology, VOICES ALONG THE RIVER. This anthology is a beautiful, perfect bound collection of contest winners plus a number of other poems also selected as worthy of inclusion.
There will be no scheduled Fair Event for 2012, just a published announcement of winners and opportunity to purchase the anthology for $12.00, the cost of publication and mailing. The San Antonio Poetry Fair is a non-profit organization of volunteers.

7. The Future Poets of Texas Kindergarten/ 1st Grade Award
Rules for all contests are the same:
Poems may be on any subject.
Submission of a poem will be considered as declaration that the poem is entirely the original work of the stated author and that all quotations have been properly credited.
Submission of a poem is also considered to be automatic permission to print it, if selected, in the anthology.
Winners and those selected for publication will be notified in late summer by email to the personal email address submitted.
GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION:
1. ONLY ONE POEM PER CONTEST.
2. All poems are limited to 28 lines so as to fit on one page of the anthology.
3. No more than 50 characters per line including spaces and punctuation.
4. If lines are excessively long, we reserve the right to break lines.
5. Poems must be submitted electronically to: sanantoniopoetryfair@yahoo.com.
In subject box of email write your name and number of contest being entered.
Submit ON LINE in Times New Roman 12 point font.
At the top of the page enter:
TITLE OF POEM AND NUMBER OF CONTEST BEING ENTERED
YOUR NAME
YOUR ADDRESS WITH ZIP CODE
YOUR PHONE NUMBER
YOUR PERSONAL EMAIL ADDRESS
NAME OF YOUR SCHOOL
YOUR AGE, GRADE, AND SUPPORTING TEACHER
6. You may type the poem in the email text, but if you send as an attachment, first save in Rich Text Format (RTF) to ensure a good transmission.

Allow a few weeks and if an acknowledgement of your
entry is not received, then
